Your Role:

As a Weekend Caregiver at Stay Graceful, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated care and support to our residents over the weekends. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our professional team to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, ensuring their emotional well-being.
• Engage residents in social activities, games, and exercises to promote cognitive and physical health.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
• Ensure residents' living spaces are clean, tidy, and comfortable.
• Provide companionship to residents, actively listening and offering support.
• Accompany residents on outings, appointments, and social events.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on caregiving techniques and protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of residents' activities, medications, and overall health.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to guarantee the well-being of residents and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a caregiver or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Patience, understanding, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver residents using appropriate techniques.
• Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays, as per the schedule.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
